The vertical column on the left is the year of birth
The horizontal row shows the 12 months of the year
Your sign is determined by your date of birth so you find your year of birth then move across the row until you find your month of birth
When you find the month you will see a letter and a number the letter is the letter next to the sign you will find on part 1 the number is the date of the start of the lunar cycle if your birthday falls before that letter & number your sign is the letter before and if your birthday is on or after the date listed your sign is the letter listed.
