A time of rain ceremonies, feasting upon a type of porridge made from beans and a pilgrimage to a sacred lake by priests. Anyone encountered upon the road during this pilgimage was robbed by the priests and should they try to resist then the priests might physically harm or kill the person. A sacrifice was made to the tlalocs or rain gods, the sacrifice consisted of a young boy and girl placed into a canoe filled with the hearts if sacrificial victims. The canoe was set adrift on the sacred lake and the two children were allowed to drown as the canoe sank
